In a word, a beautiful, simplified representation of a female figure in a slightly erotic, challenging gesture.

The most characteristic feature of the offered sculpture is its simplicity, almost minimalism Though, if I were to associate it with cubism it would not be far from the truth either. In a word, a beautiful, simplified representation of a female figure in a slightly erotic, challenging gesture. Of course, this is my very personal interpretation of the offered sculpture but I have the right to do so.

The sculpture is signed by Tino. Unfortunately, I don't know who the author is. Neither does the badge with a symbolic plant placed on a marble base tell me anything. In my search for the author I came across the works of American artist Ernest Tino Trov /1927-2009/. Stylistically, it could be his sculpture. He made a human figures the main theme of his works and often presented it in geometrised form. He embedded it into geometric figures. He started with surrealism and ended with pop art. He experimented with white bronze and this sculpture is made of white metal coated with a layer of copper or bronze. However, I prefer to think that Tino Trova is not the author because then I would sell for pennies an item worth heavy money.

Dimensions; height 40 cm, base square of 12 cm. The figure itself is 36 cm high.
