Judith Braun uses her favorite triangle motif in this sculpture, which, like the semicircle, dominates most of her works.

Born in 1963 in the Netherlands, the artist graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Enschede in 1981. According to her website, she never had any doubts about what she would do in life, as she was born into a family of artists. Both her father and mother were sculptors.

Apart from the artist's official website, there is little information available online about her life and work. She seems to be an organized and prolific artist. She carries out many projects for large companies. Her sculptures, installations, and reliefs adorn many companies and institutions in the Netherlands and around the world. Her portfolio includes works for Shell, Minolta, and Stork, among others. Every year, she participates in several or even a dozen exhibitions around the world, mainly in the Netherlands, Germany, the United States, France, and Belgium.

She is a versatile artist. She is passionate about both huge, multi-meter installations and small, lost-wax cast, intimate statuettes. She creates garden sculptures, fountains, bas-reliefs combining many different materials, and paints traditional paintings on canvas. Her works do not yet fetch staggering prices, but I think that the artist has not yet had her final say in this matter.

She creates series of works with a common title. The sculpture I am offering comes from the series "Alone Together." It depicts several barely visible human silhouettes. Personally, it reminds me of the crew of a boat setting out on a sea voyage. In this sculpture, Judith Braun uses her favorite triangle motif, which, like the semicircle, dominates most of her works. The artist's works, which remain on the borderline between cubism and abstraction, create a coherent, easily recognizable, characteristic image of the world created by the artist.

The sculpture is 19 cm high and 11 cm wide. The transparent plastic base is 17 cm long and 7 cm wide.
