Sure, it doesn't have much artistic value, but I'm posting it as a curiosity to show how different tasks are sometimes set for sculptures.

I bought this sculpture out of curiosity. The number of inscriptions and signatures led me to believe that I would find the author and learn about the purpose of the statuette. In addition, I was intrigued by the birds depicted on the sculpture, which I initially thought were pigeons and that the piece was related to the very popular breeding of carrier pigeons in Belgium. I bought the sculpture in Belgium.

I did not find the author and I was wrong about the species of birds. They are chickens.

It is comforting that the item relates to ecology and the recently fashionable healthy food. In 1958, a group of farmers based around the town of Loue formed a union in protest against industrial farming. One of the visionary priorities of poultry farming at the time was to be the welfare of the birds. They announced that their chickens would be free-range. Before they reached the supermarkets, marked with the highest quality certificate, they would stroll carefree, nibbling on grass and unmodified grain. They were successful because an entire segment of healthy food producers sprang up around Loue before today's environmentalists had even thought of it. The sculpture was cast to mark the association's 50th anniversary. It was probably designed by a local artist.

Of course, it does not have great artistic value, but I am displaying it as a curiosity to show how different tasks are sometimes set for sculptures.

It is made of aluminum, 16 cm high and 6 cm wide.
