As for these particular weights, they come from different sets. I came across them in Paris and had the privilege of choosing from a really large collection. I am convinced that they are old, even from the 18th century.

I once offered similar weights in my store. I wrote about them quite extensively. The description is still available on the website in the "Sold" category.

So now, briefly. Weights in this form first appeared in Burma in the 11th century. From the 15th century, a weight standard was established and kept at the headquarters of the Supreme Council of the State of the King of Burma. This allowed royal officials to control trade. This was all the more important because the weights were used in the distribution of expensive, luxury goods, thus providing an insight into the wealth of the richest group of subjects. Portable scales were used to weigh precious stones, gold, silver, pearls, aphrodisiacs popular in the East, medicines, and opium. They are commonly known as opium weights.

These particular weights come from different sets. I came across them in Paris and had the privilege of choosing from a really large collection. I am convinced that they are old, even 18th-century. I am selling 3 weights because it is more convenient for me, but I am willing to discuss a single item. In that case, the price is PLN 400 per piece, which is still a good price for an old original opium weight. Their dimensions, starting with the smallest, are as follows: small dragon, 5.5 cm high, 3 cm wide and 3.5 cm deep, the side of the square base is 3 cm, duck, 6.5 cm high, 3 cm wide, 4 cm deep, the diameter of the round base is 4 cm, large dragon, 7 cm high, 4 cm wide, 4 cm deep, the diameter of the round base is 4.5 cm.
