The silhouettes of two fighting capricorns form a harmonious whole, and although fighting is usually associated with chaos and dynamism, this composition seems static. Even the asymmetry of the candlestick does not disturb it. The artist used minimalist geometric forms to tell us that everything in this fight is predetermined, no blood will be shed, that it is only about establishing the position of the alpha male, that this is how it has always been in nature.

Often, when looking at a sculpture incorporated into a functional object, I wonder which came first. The idea for the sculpture, the desire to create a work of art, or the idea of an object designed to fulfill a specific function. I dare say that in this case, the ibex was the most important. A beautiful, proud animal living in the high mountains. As agile as a chamois in overcoming steep rocks, which sometimes seems impossible due to its powerful horns dominating its entire silhouette.

The silhouettes of two fighting ibexes form a harmonious whole, and although fighting is usually associated with chaos and dynamism, this composition seems static. It is not even disturbed by the asymmetry of the candlestick. The creator used economical geometric forms to tell us that in this fight everything is predetermined, no blood will be shed, that it is only about establishing the position of the alpha male, that this is how it has always been in nature.

I tried to find the creator of the candlestick. Unfortunately, to no avail. If I had to guess, I would say Northern Europe. Perhaps the buyer will be able to determine the author of the work, because it is a pity that such a beautiful design remains anonymous.

The candlestick is made of white metal. It is probably not aluminum because it is too heavy. It is in good condition and only requires minor cosmetic work, which will further highlight the interesting texture of the sculpture. The candlestick is 27 cm high and 56 cm wide. The distance between the legs of the fighting goats is 7 cm.
