I'm not sure if I'm reading the character's gesture correctly, but she seems embarrassed to me, unsure of her charm.

Once again, I am having trouble identifying the author of the sculpture. The figurine of a woman in a swimsuit is even signed, but so illegibly that despite entering the name in various variations, I have not been able to obtain a specific result. I suspect that the author of the sculpture is either a militant feminist or someone who is trying to prove that even a scantily clad female body does not necessarily evoke erotic associations. The woman in this sculpture is devoid of feminine charm. She is a contradiction of the stereotypes that arise in our minds as a result of the combination of the words "woman" and "bikini." I think this is a deliberate move on the part of the author. Who and when remains a mystery for now.

The composition is also a little strange. It is most reminiscent of 19th-century sculptures, placed by rocks, leaning against something. I don't know if I am reading the figure's gesture correctly, but she looks embarrassed to me, unsure of her charm. I don't blame her. Purchased in Belgium many years ago at a market in Ciney.

The bronze is small, 25 cm high including the stone base.
