He worked using his own techniques, mixing metal, wood, fabric, paint, acrylic, and resin. He had a detached attitude toward his own art. He did not shy away from the grotesque or humor.

PLN700.00The subject that brought him worldwide fame was Biafra. The civil war in Nigeria caused famine and the death of thousands of innocent people. The immediate impulse for the creation of a series of sculptures, mainly in bronze, was a photograph of a Nigerian child. The artist traveled with these sculptures to many countries around the world, sharing his pain caused by unjust and undeserved death. While reading studies on the subject, I came across the opinion that this series is one of the most outstanding Argentine sculptures of all time.

PLN2,400.00This is the kind of elephant we are dealing with in this sculpture. I see a frame captured in a fraction of a second, depicting an enraged animal, where it is even difficult to make out the anatomy of the giant, because the overlapping images of rapid movement blur the picture.
